I'd argue that the crap sugar that's in children's breakfast cereals is just as bad for you as tobacco, but obviously for a different reason.

Again, it's so simple to just not buy the cereal. Sorry, but I particularly enjoy the kiddishness of sugary cereal, and I find it completely ridiculous that poepel are complaining about them advertsiing to children. Why the hell should they NOT be allowed to advertise to that demographic? that's the whole point of the cereal. The character, the colourful cereal bits, ect. The whole premiose of the cereal is that it's a kids cereal. Hell, nearly EVERYTHING you eat has sugars in it to an extent. Once again, sugars are not on the same playing field as transfats and cigarettes. It's simply saying: 'if you advertise this you can't market it towards children or a child's medium.'

How the hell is there any violation of your rights by limiting the advertisements to a certain demographic? They aren't saying they can't sell it anymore and they aren't saying they can't market it ever again. Just because one bowl doesn't sound harmful doesn't mean anything, just like one cigarette won't kill you. Sugar and transfats are two foods that will kill you in the long run goochbreath.
